A Grimes family is devastated after a baby girl miscarried during a miscarriage.
Key points:The mother of Grimes daughter, Elly, is on the mend after having the baby delivered prematurelyThe baby is due for a cesarean section at the end of AprilThe mother says she was told the baby was due to be delivered within a monthThe couple’s relationship has not changed since the miscarriageHowever, the Grimes mother has now admitted the pregnancy was the result of “hormonal imbalances” and her daughter’s premature delivery.
“The first two weeks we were just struggling, it was just not working,” Elly’s mother, Krista, told ABC News.
“It was like the clock was ticking, I was just going to let it go.
It was just too much to handle, so I just stopped and I didn’t go back to work until the last two weeks.”
I was like, ‘Oh God, I’m pregnant again.
I’m so sorry.
It’s just so stressful’.
“Ms Grimes has a history of miscarriages.
Her first miscarriage, which occurred during her wedding in 2009, caused her to have a miscarriage two years later.
She also had a miscarriage when she was still in her 30s and had a second one a year later.
Krista, who now works in a restaurant, said she had a “bad feeling” about the miscarriage but was also “relieved”.”
I know it’s stressful, I know it was a bad miscarriage,” she said.”
But at the same time, I just know we’re still going to be together.
“We’re just going through this rough patch and we’re going to get through it.”
For the rest of my life I’m going to know that she was in my life and I’m still going.
“At the same moment, I feel that my love is for her and I think she loves me and that’s the best way I can put it.”
Ms Grime has had a lot of counselling and the couple are now in touch.
“My mother and I are trying to figure out what to do next, but I can’t really say anything more,” Ms Grimes said.
The Grimes mum said she hoped to return to work soon and her relationship with her daughter had not changed at all.
“There is still some of this ‘hormonal imbalance’ thing, but she is back to normal,” she told ABC.
“This is just a normal, healthy pregnancy and now it’s time for us to heal.”
