Posted January 15, 2018 12:08:20 Instagram has launched a new photo editing feature called Instagram Engagement, which lets users share their photos with their friends in a snap.
The feature lets users upload and edit photos, adding captions, hashtags and tags.
The new feature is only available in the US and Canada.
The app will also automatically sync photos from Instagram to Instagram Stories, which will let users keep track of their engagement.
“When you add the caption, Instagram will ask you to set the time and date for the photo,” said Ryan Phelan, a product manager at Instagram.
“You can set the number of photos in the photo, the number and quality of the images in the post, as well as the size of the image.”
Users can upload and share more than 100 different types of content from Instagram in a single photo.
“This is a great way to showcase your photos on your social media channels, Instagram Stories and more,” Pheland added.
The Instagram Engage feature also works across mobile devices.
“We’re excited to be able to integrate this with our mobile apps,” Instagram co-founder Kevin Systrom said in a statement.
“With Instagram Engages, users can easily share photos with friends and family, share them with Instagram and share them to their Instagram Stories for a great engagement experience.”
Instagram recently added more than 1,000 new photos to its photo editing tools.
The service has more than 50 million active users and is growing rapidly.
Instagram said it will expand its Instagram Engaging feature to more countries by the end of January.
The update comes in the wake of Snapchat adding a new Instagram Engaged feature earlier this year.
